BBC Business Process Services - The business as usual services were won by another consultancy and therefore went through a transition phase where a lot of the licencing for software and documentation was required to be novated over to the new supplier as part of the contract move.
My role within this project was the Exit and Transition manager, to which there were 2 of us.Â
I helped manage exit and transition stages through the final year of the contract, ensuring all assets, licences are recorded and novatable, bidders requests were responded to and recorded in logs and managing the communication of information between client and project managers.
This was a role that was unrelated to data but allowed me to experience a management phase that was new to me, allowed me to enhance communication skills by reaching out to the necessary stakeholders for the correct required information. Bid management and responses etc.
The tools utilised for this project only consisted of Microsoft Office applications, recording the information obtain about software licences and responding to bidder requests using information obtained from different subject areas.
The Business Process Services were transitioned over to the new supplier and no more requests needed to be answered in relation to bids or software licencing information.
